I have the DEDNUTZ on my 257 Weatherby, but it's only got a 1 inch tube on it. DEDNUTZ are very, very, good mounts. I have several of them.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

not sure what you could be missing. rings are ambidexterous...

The rings I have are "mid" height, so I think they are 0.875" high. Gives the scope about 1/8" of clearance so it gives a good cheek weld.

Warne rep says I'm limited to the 2 piece base set, M902/879.  Trying to decide between fixed or detachable rings.  Leaning to the 214M fixed.

Had a 338-378 Accumark with a big heavy NF sitting on top.  Getting that NF 5.5-22x56 to stay put turned out to be a pain in the arse.  Went thru multiple different combos before I a Near Mfg. setup on it and NEVER had a single bit of trouble after that.  So when it comes to big  Weatherby magnums with heavy scopes, like a NF, sitting on top, there is only one setup I'd use and that's a Near Mfg.

Ghost, have the mark V 340 and love it, decided to get the crown and am surprised that it shoots quite a bit tighter. Cant shoot same brass from Mk V in the crown. Both have Leupold Vx 3L scopes, worked up load 300 gr berger vld @ 2700fps and got turret cut at the Leup custom shop for it.. very happy with results....I have even gone to hunting the crown, which still leaves me pause that I could scratch this piece of art, but I cant see just looking at it either....

I also am very happy with my nightforce scope on my Long range 7mm mag.... I think the optics are better than leupold but accuracy is similar after dialing in.

I had looked at the Near package and considered it briefly, hesitation was the price.  After a few emails that were answered over the weekend and a phone conversation today, I was impressed with the wealth of knowledge that Richard is willing to share.  Bit the bullet and placed the order today.  I've been assured I won't be disappointed :chuckle: and I trust that will be the case.  Now comes the big ticket item.

You made a wise choice and you will not be disappointed one single bit!  Richard is not only awesome to work with but he makes excellent products and if you ever have any questions he is always willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy.

I've called Richard to ask him about some mounts and before I knew it an hour and a half had passed and we were talking about farming.  I had a bit of sticker shock, too, the very first time I looked at Near Mfg. rings/bases but they're of the finest quality and you won't have to worry about the scope moving when you use a Near Mfg. setup.
