bad day with a sighting
« on: September 20, 2014, 08:52:29 PM »
So the day started out good stalked in on two bucks 35 yards and got busted :bash: dang doe. Well I got a second chance and would you believe it I missed. 50Yards arrow hit right in front of him  :bash:. On the way out I jumped a little buck but decided to walk around the point he ran to and saw a decent 3 point so put a stalk on him miss judged the yardage and the arrow went right over his back :yike: he reacted like I hit him and was limping so I set down and watched him and tried to arrow him again assumed I hit him with out checking my arrow.  Well walked back up after I spooked him and found a clean arrow and no blood ranged from where I shot a sure enough 10 yards off :bash:. So only real good that came out of it was a stumbled on to a giant 3x3.  Watched him head into a draw and might try for him tomorrow  O and my quiver broke today which complicated things a little.

Some days are just like that, incredible hunting and not so incredible follow through.  Wish I could say I've only had one of those days ;)  I think 2005 was one of the days that went on for an entire year :chuckle:  That was sure an exciting year though!  Also the year I had to admit I needed glasses >:(

Sounds like a sick day from work might be in order for one of those 1-26th units!
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
