I got some good news and some bad news
« on: September 21, 2014, 05:35:16 PM »
Big bulls in the area, but now there are 2 fewer for my upcoming muzzy season.  Not the best thing to see on your trail camera -- 2 big sixes down!  This is in several miles or so on the west side.   Looks like the archery guys picked a few nice bulls off, but plenty left.  Congrats to these guys!   Does anybody recognize them or know if they are  huntwa members?    I posted several other pics under the trail camera forum of elk that are hopefully still kickin.  There appears to be some left that are as big or bigger.

Still looks like two different guys to me when blown up.
First pic it appears that he has two shirts tied around his waist and he has a lot more facial hair.
Second pic, guy carrying the head has some sort of straps hanging down. Maybe he shaved as it appears to be less facial hair.

It's the same guy in both pics. I don't know who he is. He got a great bull. Also look on the 2014 elk thread page 6 and you will see that bull and hunter.

Looking at IBs picture I'd say the14th was his last day bull. Hopefully he will chime in and let us know of the other photo is him too.

I'd bet a dollar that's IBSpoiled.

IBSpoiled has an awesome, giant goatee. The 2nd pic there is no sweet facial hair.

Well as much as I'd like to say yes that is me packing both elk out of the woods, I can't!  The first one is me and my last day bull.  The other bull, my wife actually called in to me on the first night we were there to 10 yards and I didn't have a shot.  Don't know the hunters but heard he was taken.  I didn't realize there was a camera at the wallow until after we were 2 feet from it.  I'm sure you have some other pictures also, as my hunting partner/wife were goofing off for the camera.  LOL  finally got my picture on here!  We had a great 10 days of hunting and it ended with a great blessing.  I'm working on a story, it's pretty incredible.   My wife has a muzzy tag and we will be joining you all up there.  Hopefully I'll be packing another one out for her.  Watch out, cuz she tends to shoot the big ones!  This is my first bull that is bigger than hers on the wall!  I hope it last more than 3 weeks!

Yes he does and I  (his wife) love it and him.   :yike:   We had a great 10 days archery hunting.  He hunted and I was his caller.

Are the date & time stamps on both cameras correct?

If so, he was packing that head around for 5 days if it is the same guy & elk.

It is better to be consistently incorrect than inconsistently correct...
