Green Diamond coyote hunting
« on: September 26, 2014, 02:12:48 PM »
I have used some of the Green Diamond areas near Shelton/Dayton in the past. I usually have the area to myself, except of course during deer season. This year these areas are access pass only. I am thinking that will make these areas even more quiet once past deer season.  I bought a non-motorized pass last week, came with a good up-dated map on signed areas, that is good for a year, will spend the winter seeing if I am right.  I am over to Moses Coulee next week, get a last coyote hunt over there before deer season.

I drive by that a lot, think it is still open. Their maps don't show/mention that area.

I have not, but I have often thought of hunting there when I drive by. I believe that area is now an access permit required area. A side note- it was real quiet for opening weekend of modern firearms deer out by Dayton. I was amazed how few people were out there, in past years it has been a zoo on opening weekend. I had a nice area pretty much all to myself this morning, not what I expected opening weekend. Walked five miles, saw two road hunters, that was it.  So, for me the access permit is looking to be a good thing.
