Lick Creek, adventure w/ photos
« on: October 08, 2014, 09:18:35 AM »
We decided to try out Lick Creek for muzzy deer this year.  No luck on any bucks though we did have our chances.  I left with a profound respect for that country, one I had never seen or explored before.  The long drive and hard hiking proved to be well worth it.  The old adage of a successful hunt is not determined whether or not one notches a tag reigns true on this adventure.  I saw 6 different bulls, all courting their harem or trying to infiltrate the herd, numerous does (too many to count), 2 Bighorns and some breathtaking scenery.  Wanted to share with the group.  Bulls pictured were shot through a spotting scope and binos, semi blurry but good nonetheless (2 of the 6 seen).  Cell phone pics with editing turned out okay in my opinion. Enjoy!

Yeah some guys that looked like Indians had a road blocked and had a giant wheel of cable set up in the back of there truck. (Idaho plates) Looked like something off a fishing trawler designed to pull critters up the mountain.   :dunno:
