I finally scored my first deer, a nice two pt. Blacktail. I hunted hard for three weekends on a very prime piece of land on Maury / Vashon Island. I am fortunate enough to be one of two hunters on this very private and beautiful property. He was shot at 12 noon on a sunny day in the wide open, no brush or cover to hide, I love the middle of the day to look for deer. I hunt them like rabbits, slowly poking around and always looking ahead. What a great season I had, seeing about 5-6 deer every time in the woods, just seeing deer and their reactions made me a better hunter. I also totally processed this deer on my own, making my season a very full and fulfilling one...

I am such a proud dad, my 11 year old son Brandon got it done on a nice blacktail on 10-30-14. The heavy rain had them up and moving. This is first deer and he has worked his butt off for 3 years now tring to get one. A couple grunts on his tube as they passed by got him to turn back around for a shot, one shot to the neck at 80 yards all by himself. The pics are not great, I'm the only person I know who can screw up a point and shoot didital camera.  :)

Successful day on the Oregon coast. These are our smallest yet, not going to complain though.
