Hunting the snoqualmie GMU 460

So I struck out on the eastside this last week and was hoping to get some black tail hunting in before the season ends on the 31st. I've never hunted over there and am looking for the closest possible option to ellensburg since my old 87 diesel likes to take big gulps of fuel. Any suggestions?

Can't help to much in that area.
Probably the best bet is to not
Overlook the 2 and 3 year old repord.
Some of the guys I know suggest getting up a bit,
Then looking down into the thick stuff.
