Boundary between 564 and 568?
« on: October 24, 2014, 05:18:24 PM »
I don't hunt either of these units (at least not the west side of the Washougal), but for the sake of an argument with a buddy who does.  He thinks he's right along the border, while I think he's way inside the BG unit.

Is there a clear cut boundary between the Battle Ground GMU (564) and the Washougal (568)?

All I've got is National Forest maps for the Gifford, and they don't list road names for territory outside of the NF.

Well I know the border is somewhat confusing.  And I knew the regs were outlined in the back of the book.  I guess I forgot just how convoluted they were.

But bottom line, they more or less follow the Silver Star/Larch ridgeline?
More or less?  Give or take...?

Use the interactive maps with gmu boundary on the gohunt maps on the wdfw website find where you hunt and see what unit its in, it doesnt get easier than that. Thats about as exact as your gonna get without contacting a surveyor to lay it out for you lol.

Huh.

Never thought about that.  I'll go check that out now.

That GoHunt tool is fantastic.  I've been able to complete my Sharpie map on the outskirts of the National Forest.

Thanks!
