So, I spent a week off hunting last week in Eastern, WA with my 2 hunting buddies hunting deer. Came home tired and spent from a long, but great week with them.
As soon as I opened the door, my 12 year old says, "So, when are we going out to hunt for deer?" He's just pumped as all get out and I'm exhausted. I want to take him, but I've got no time now to really research where to go around here. I know that Pope Resources has some open spots available and am planning to check them out on their map, but honestly don't know much.
I know that people don't want to give up their honey hole and am not asking for that. This is my kid's first opportunity for deer hunting - just looking for some suggested areas (clearcuts, trails, etc.) that you might suggest we go to - rather than just picking a random spot on a map and going there. We plan to go out on Saturday (rain or shine) for at least 1/2 a day or more.
If interested in helping a dad out, feel free to PM me. Thanks.
