snow camo AR
« on: December 16, 2008, 12:06:55 PM »
Well after my last trip in the snow I decided to put camo on my black rifle, I just think all that black was to much in the the white snow. I used a cover mask so after the winter I can just peel off the white. I will post some pics tonight when I get home.

Me too. I just put this on to break it up a bit. Could be better but it'll have to do.

Thanks. It didn't take long to do, I left of a few spots like where my left hand holds and the grip and stock because it would have just rubbed off anyway.

I do the same thing with my varmint rifle.  I use white vet wrap since it will stick on there all season but wont leave any residue when I take it off.

Demontang Did you get your gun in the way when you flocked your christmas tree? :chuckle:Just kidding, looks like that should work. What is it that you used again, and you can peel it off ?

I used some stuff called fast mask, You brush or spray it on and it dries clear and will just peel off. They use it to do custom paint jobs on car and such. I did a test spot and it peeled of realy easy and didnt leave anything on the gun. :IBCOOL:

I just picked up a cheap military field jacket in snow camo to help break up my out line too. I got an xxl so I could wear a few layers under it if I have too. Coyotes look out :mgun:

I found similar as "vet wrap" at the local Walgreeens.  It is Johnson & Johnson First Aid "Hurt Free Wrap".  It is all whit though so might need some magic marker highlights.  I also found the same thing at Cabela's where you can get it in multiple camo patterns including snow.  Gonna try to get out tomorrow to see what I can do.
