Rain
« on: November 05, 2014, 01:53:40 PM »
This is just my second fall here in Washington (Yakima valley). This year seems much wetter than last year. I don't remember seeing nearly the green hillsides that we have right now. Am I just imagining it or is it much wetter this year?

You hear a lot about the impact of rain in the spring on chicks. Need enough for bugs and cover but not too much for the chicks to handle. Does an extra wet fall have any impact(+ or -) on upland bird survival?

Having fun so far this year and hoping this is the start to a good run of bird numbers in the years to come.
