The Entiat Ranger District is considering a closure of the Entiat River Road. The road could be closed for about 3 years at the Tommy Creek road (7 miles from the end). The reason is concerns about drainage from the Duncan Creek fires particularly Pope Creek. The cheap and easy way to deal with the issue is to close the road. Many in the valley and anyone who wants to hunt up there would prefer that they fix the issue and allow access or just let us take our chanes that a mudflow may block the road while we are up there.
