« on: November 22, 2014, 03:07:22 PM »
I have been worried about this issue I have on how these trailcams hold up on the wetside ...I placed my camera out 10 days ago ..got only one clear photo ..the other 50 or so where all fogged up ..I think as soon as it rains the lens get fogged up   :dunno: I also noticed it was only taking pictures with in 10 to 15 yards ..Is there a way to adjust the range ? I lost my owners manual so I am about to run it over with my truck  :bash: :bash: Also what does P1 AND P2 mean ? Can anyone help me out  :dunno: Thanx

They are well known for making garbage cameras.  A bargain is not a bargain if its a bargain for crap.  Oh and I think p1 and p2 would probably be the choice between single and double shots when it's triggered.  But yes, your truck tires should fix it.

I've used rainX on the lenses before. It helped but needs to be reapplied every so often. But this is the dry side. Sorry no experience with that cam.

Most manuals can be found online and I believe most WGI cam owners do run theirs over with a truck.

It worked great all summer ..I think it is because it is so wet over here ..the fog sticks around to long and never gets a chance to dry out ..also I have some real cheapo's out there ..the took really good photos all summer long too ...I have not checked those ones yet but I will before the end of next week ...I know that big boy came by a few times because the horning was indescribable  :bash: :bash:

the cheapos that you think worked great..... i bet if you hung a quality camera up on the same tree you would $!!! your pants at all the stuff the cheapos missed.  I thought i had a couple decent cheapos too until i doubled up with a good cam at the same spot.  everybody swears their bargain deal refurbished $60 elcheapocrap cameras are so good.... but theyre not.  period.  the old saying "you get what you pay for"  should really be taken to heart with trail cameras.  but a little disclaimer, there are some real buckets out there in the $200 range right now.  ive learned that lesson too.  companies that made good cams in the past are letting performance slip to add a few bells and whistles that look good on the advertisements.
