spotting scope vs high powered binos

In the market for something for looking at clearcuts from a distance my budget is 300 bucks im looking at either vortex diamondbacks in 12x50 or leupold sx 1 ventena in 15-45x60 spotting scope and just want others opinion thanks

I believe good binos are #1 purchase, then save for a good spotter  :twocents:

Get the binos and save up for a better spotter...a $300 pair of binos will be more useful than a $300 spotter....if you want a cheap spotter I have a Bushnell trophy I'll let go for a good price or trade for somthing
