Now! Hunting Season is finally here!!!
« on: November 29, 2014, 11:21:58 AM »
I know the season started last month but it really has not been hunting weather.... It got cold once for a few days but other than that it has been like spring - shirt sleeve hunting weather....

But this morning things they are changing - it has been a long time coming.  It started snowing about 45 minutes ago and the forecast is for more including 8-10" on Monday. Hope most of it is all in the hills not here in town.

I am making the switch over from a modern muzzleloader to a Western legal Ultra-Lite today and hopefully hunting tomorrow.

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

Yep was in 5" of snow this morning just got home and didn't cut a track. Not sure where they're at but the deer weren't anywhere is was at this morning. Lots of hunters around Monroe including a gamie, I was at the truck when he drove by but he never stopped to check me. Good luck to ya in the morning.

My hunting partner has an active cow/spike tag and I have a doe tag so we are going to his elk area and hope he scores while I look for a doe - not really ready to shoot one yet though - I have till Dec. 14 for the deer but my elk tag becomes hot Dec 2-9...

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

Yes sir Sabotloader it is here, our WA wet side had some generous flakes coming down making for a very good day in the woods. Temperature is in the 25 degree range right now here in town and the woods should be even colder. Going to break out the military spec polar fleece long johns for tomorrow mornings hunt!

Pics of the snowy selfie and that damn cold salamander who still thinks it's shirt sleeve weather! :dunno:
Last photo I am below the snow line. :chuckle:

Good luck all and let's see some snow pictures of you out in the woods hunting, if you don't want the selfie just show us the snow scene.  :yeah:

Opps snowing sideways selfie. Oh well.
Whatever........
