Egg tanning

I got a few deer hides, anyone have any luck with eggs. What's your steps?

Sorry, I can't help. I heard about that method and went as far as watching the youtube video before deciding that it was way to much work. If no one here has any experience with it, you might have better luck at a primitivist forum.

brain tan it, here is a guide for doing it the sioux way, hides will "breathe" unlike oil tanned leathers. you only need to follow the steps, I.E. use any method that works for getting the hair and epidermis off. you don't need to have the tool described in the text.

Deer Hide Tanning Part 1 and 2 on youtube. I've got it saved on my computer and hope to do one next year. If you use it let me know how it turns out.

I'm in the process of doing it off of that video but kinda feeln like it's not workn. I probably did somethn wrong. We'll see in a few days. Going to smoke it tomorrow I'm hopen

Hair started slipn, so I striped the hair and am wanting to tan it that way. I can't find brain locally.
