The ban on coyote hunting is a bad idea.

The presence of contests which glory in maximal killing and give money to those who kill the most coyotes doesn't help. It is a very stupid strategy and one that is GUARANTEED to incense nonhunters.

People who hunt coyotes should do so in the same respectful manner in which they hunt deer. This "round em up and kill em all" attitude is an absolute sure-fire way to run head-on into this kind of emotional battle.

those are the buzzwords that will be used to divide hunters  the same way "puppymill" was invented to divide dog fanciers, and "humane farming" has divided farmers and the list goes on  just wait you will see or you wont because you will buy in to the words.  I am using the word YOU in a global sense not a specific person sense.

What gets me is when these idiots step in and want something they get it    How can this be with all the hunters in the country ? Hunting is hunting and I do not care how many coyotes get shot you will never put a dent in the population ..Just a bunch of uneducated idiots

it sucks that the commission voted to do this. It won't stop them they just won't give out prizes or give prizes out at a later date under the table. Kinda like how we gotta sell guns here now

When I was stationed in Lemoore California every coyote I shot was donated to a local Filipino that ate them.

I never have thought of eating coyotes....... maybe next one I get I might try it..... who am I kidding hell no I would never eat that thing
