My european mount
« on: November 26, 2014, 04:32:48 PM »
How do you guys like my european mount. Did it all myself. Liked the more natural look than the bone white. To me bone white looks kind of fake. Not bad for my first time. I love it.

I would cut as much flesh as i could before boiling it. Add a little bit of borax and bleach because i boiled it a little to much and the teeth started falling off but i just glued them back on.  And i didnt know how to screw it on the piece of wood so i kinda messed up. Even though you cant see the errors ill know how to do it better next time.

Probably shop for jeans in the mens section. :chuckle:
Looks good. Pretty creative. Are you going to glue the nose pieces back on?

Yeah good burn. Haha... No actually i like it better with the nose broken. I dropped it on accident and i almost cried but when i looked at it it looked better to me. I could fix it but no.

Very well done in my opinion!! I love the natural look. Ive found a lot of skulls in the woods and almost all of them are missing the nose pieces. So I feel that was a good call leaving them off.

Looks good, I don't like the bright white either, I just boil, pick and leave natural.

Bleach weakens bones. You can whiten with 12% peroxide FYI.
