I am of the belief that the 452x is well worth the fuzzing for the stability

Absolutely IMO :tup:  I am hoping BCY-X will be a reasonable fix.  Was going to test it this year, but everyone using it is making such high count strings it made me pause for a year or two.  If it needs that many extra strands to compete with 452X  that sent out too many red flags.  A lot of mixed reviews leaving me even more confused than I was before.  Guess I'm just going to need to buy some and give it the spa treatment!  That makes short work of testing creep tendencies.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Finally, as mentioned above...shoot with an arm guard and/or your heavy cold weather clothing before you get in the field.  String contact with the collar, sleeve, armguard, zipper...all have an effect on POI.  No bow, now release, no fantastic shooting theory will overcome string impact.  Doesn't take much!!!  Even if you have no string contact the heavy clothes can effect your anchor point / head position too.  And don't just stand at the shooting line and shoot like a California high wrister :bdid:  Get on your knees, sit on your buttox (maybe even in a chair), and shoot back over a shoulder, up, down any way you can think that you may end up needing to shoot in the field.  Hunters rule...your shot opportunity will most likely come where you least expect it.

+++++1
Finding this out myself right now.  Hunted east side early season, thin pants, short sleeve shirts, just like home, no worries!  Now looking at going out late season west side.  heavier, water proof clothing..  Getting wrist slap on jacket, POP, sounds like a suppressed 22 doing off, no amount of change to my hold or arm position is lessening it.  Never had any hint of slap before the jacket, so now I need to go out and get an arm guard to tame the jacket and practice before sunday.  Gloves also altered how the bow sits in my hand and moves on shot so adjusting my grip accordingly.

Thanks for the tips guys, saved me potentially bad shots in the field when it really counts!

Just get one of those carbon hoyts. I heard they're warm in cold weather, should keep everything nice and stable.  :chuckle:

Maybe we're just lucky.

Or you don't shoot good enough to be able to tell a difference :chuckle: :chuckle:

I have three Bear bows that never seem to change with temperatures.  All three have the molded limbs, single cams and sport XCel strings that stay well clear of my bulky clothing.  If I ever do a Muskox hunt one of those bows will definitely be on the trip with me!

 lol, Good one Rad. :chuckle:
Winners Choice 452X and this year its been WC 8190. Great strings, period.
I think the lack of an arm guard is a lot of the problem in cold weather.

I've not seen this in my bows yet. The strings rad made for me haven't changed from 90 deg to the 8 deg weather. I do shoot in cold weather just to check my point of impact. I shoot with my cold weather gloves and coats on too.
