I take a lighter to wine corks. Then use the charred cork to darken up my face. It's cheap, light and easy to have on hand, and I can't imagine it hurts my chances so I use it. Clean up is super easy.

Sheesh. "Oh, hang on sir, before you ring that up, I was supposed to get some cucumbers and pepperoni sticks for camp, too. I'll be right back." I'd be on youtube in a matter of seconds from somebody's phone.
Aint necessary shot this buck at 15 feet. Not the first time as about as close. elk and deer both - spot em - stalk em - shoot em.
I assume D-Rock gets the same two questions I do, "Why do you say elk are easy to kill with a bow?" and, "What is your secret to successful elk hunting?" These two questions are usually asked by the same person who just got done telling me face camo makes no difference. Coincidence Is that what you find too, D-Rock?

I said thanks you don't have what I need. She said what is it, maybe she could order it. I said it's a elk mouth call, she had no clue and asked what type of call and I said it's a diaphragm. She turned red and looked shocked, my buddy said not that kind of diaphragm, this one you put in your mouth. She got real flustered and thought we were messing with her.
I've sure done a lot better with face camo and gloves. If it just gives me 1/2 to 2 seconds, it could make the difference when I'm sneaking around.

A lot more movement of your hands when trying to get a shot off compared to the face.
