No deer but what a view.
« on: December 13, 2014, 11:00:05 PM »
I've been chasing the little blacktails around all month and so far all I have is sore feet and some pictures. Lots of does and three little button head bucks. A nice big bull in the timber, plenty of cows and a spike tried to become a hood ornament on the way out this evening.  OK, I'm off subject.
This is one good reason for getting out, just getting to see this was great.  I have never seen a rainbow so bright, wonder if it was because I was looking down on it. Any ways, this is from up behind Eatonville, you can see Lake Kapowsin behind the rainbow. No Photoshop tricks to enhance this one.
I work tomorrow so I still have Monday before I need to make some tag soup.

That is a great shot! Did you find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?

Those are the kind of scenes that make me go hunting or fishing on Sundays rather than a church.

Not as good as yours, but this is part of the reason I hunt.

No pot of gold at the end of that one, no buck in the cut or tree lines either. I'll have to dig some to find another rainbow shot I got a few years back hunting elk above the south side of Riffe Lake where I caught a hang glider in the rainbow.
Most of the time I've got a camera of some sort with me. I always see the big elk during deer season and the big deer during elk. Go figure.
