New Legislature
« on: December 14, 2014, 05:36:43 AM »
I am interested to know how many folks on this site know the names and contact information for their State legislators? For those that know them, how many have contacted their legislators within the last 12 months to share their concerns about the future of our hunting heritage? :dunno:

I think I'm on the block list for my reps.  One is the local head honcho fire fighter and I have a feeling the trucks will be out of gas or won't start if my house ever catches.  :chuckle:

I contact elected officials on a regular basis.  Both federal and state levels hear from me on other issues as well. Not just gun issues. I definitely get some interesting replys from Patty Murray and Maria Cantrell. They are both die hard liberals always on the wrong side of important issues. I don,t just contact my elected officials in my district. I also let the republican leaders hear from me on both a state level and federal level. I do think it matters that elected officials hear from the voters. I have been active in this regard for several years now.

Facebook friends so yes I know who he is. He actually asks my opinion on things too. I am Facebook friends with my county commissioner also. They almost all have Facebook pages and it is an easy way to get to know them.

been wanting to contact her on land issues here too soon.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

I do and I have.......unfortunately she seems to be in it for her career, and votes right but never takes up the fight.......I did not vote for her last time as well as many others over here who feel exactly as I do.  She has lost favor with many folks up here who have supported her in the past.

I talking to the 15 area Spokane,Stevens, Ferry, Pend'Oreille, and Whitman County legislators on a fairly frequent basis and most of them know me by name, but with that said 12 of the 15 already agree with me.  The remaining 3 that don't always agree with me haven't been involved with any committees that would impact the hunting /fishing industry over the last several years.  However, committee assignments are changing, so these discussions may be more relevant in the coming legislative session.

And be sure Jay Inslee is on your email list. He thinks 594 is a good thing. While he is busy attempting to raise taxes by one billion dollars a year he should hear from gun owners who oppose 594. He needs to worry about getting re-elected and not take us for granted.
