All the bears are hunted out  :chuckle: in our area.....you will want to put in for Skagit for sure. Big bears up there that spent tons of time walking just inside the gates along the grassy roads.

Last time I roamed around the Monroe area all the Bears I saw were 500 lbs plus, and I saw truck loads up them.

Shhhhhh. Hush now. That other dude..bikini? He's a whacko that from what I hear steals little girls rudolphs right outta people's yards!
Trying to start a witch hunt are ya? That's something a deer thief would do if they were guilty!

I second that!   I've seen herds of 20 or 30 boars grazing in all the clear cuts around Monroe

nothing but small sows and cubs in the Skagit.

Thanks guys. I've applied for Monroe the last 2 years, but had a brain fart that the spring regs were in the previous years regs. I've read the sticky on west side spring bear hunting and if I am lucky enough to draw will give it another read for a refresher. Hopefully this is my year to draw a tag. I would love to get out and learn some new areas.

The one cool thing about the spring bear tag is the gate key... The opportunity itself is a worse opportunity than the first few weeks of the regular season.  In my opinion at least.

The gate key is SWEET though.  Its basically the only reason I put in.  Well that and the strong desire to kill bears in the Spring... turkeys just don't do it for me.

Took me 10 years to find it and figure out how to hunt it. It's been good to me.  :hello:
