«

I picked up a new marlin 336ss today as i couldn't bring myself to drill holes in my 1886 winchester. So this will be my foul weather gun.I will be mounting my leupold vx-2 1.5-4x28 scout scope to this one.when it isn't raining i will use the 1886 with a lyman peep sight mounted in factory holes.

I have one in .357 . It feels like it just belongs in your hand on a woods walk .

That rifle looks great in stainless! Great choice of scope too. One of the few scouts available that goes below 2x. I have one with Alumina caps on a Remington 600 and am very happy with it.

I keep coming back to drool over this gun. Good choice. The mods would have no choice but to drop the ban hammer if you drilled holes in the 1886.

Caliber?
30-30win it's the only caliber available i really wish they offered it in 35rem.I had thought of sending it to JES reboring to have it converted to .356win but i might just leave it 30-30.
