Harts lake in Roy available for ducks?
«

Well the title says it all. I don't live to far and would love to hunt it. I've looked it up on gohunt and it's listed but when I go to the lakes "webpage" all it talks about is fish species. Any clue how I can get more info on this and other lakes? Seems there should be simpler way? Any help would be appreciated.

Seems like a place that might make the homeowner's around the lake pissed to have duck hunters out there.
It is all private around the lake, but you may be able to hunt it if you don't mind some guff from the homeowners.
It the attached photo, the arrow at the south end might be a place you could setup, but there is a home not far to the east. The pond to the south looks to be part of the public area of the main lake. I don't think it is in a no shooting zone...

gets hit pretty hard, usually 2-3 boats out when ive been there. also walking into that pond you will get yelled at by the home owner next to the pond and also possibly by Wilcox for trespassing through their pasture

You probably just need to get out there and knock on a bunch of doors. There has to be a bunch of flooded fields that have ducks going into them, but getting access/permission is probably challenging. Good luck.
20 or so years ago, Elbow lake was an option.......I don't think it is anymore, but I'm not sure.

Yeah I was tryin to avoid the door knockin but if that's the only way then ill do it. I know a couple fields that get flooded and get ducks. Maybe I'll knock on the door and see what they have to say.

Wilcox can only be hunted by invite only. There REAL sticklers about that land. If your buddy is huntin there he should be considered lucky.
