Does anybody have any extra pheasant capes?
« on: December 26, 2008, 01:39:24 PM »
Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has a couple of pheasant capes that they wouldn't mind parting with. Trying to make a couple of coyote decoys.

Thanks

Haven't got that far yet, Thought I would form and glue it around a little kids football then maybe put a decoy heart in it. Something along those lines

Somebody/Anybody?  I'm not asking for a freebee. I guess I might have to drag a shotun out of the closet and go out. I guess my labs would enjoy it. I'm probably a little rusty in the follow thru :chuckle:

I wish you had posted sooner. I'll walk out into the orchard tomorrow and see if they coyotes tore up the scraps I threw out there. If they didn't get eaten yet they'll be frozen solid.

How are you going to make your lure? Or are you just going to hang an old pheasant pelt on a stick?
