model 54 help needed

Im am in need of a stock for a winchester modle 54 in 30 ought 6 im limmited on cash but its an important rifle it was my wifes fathers and he recently passed away the stock is to damaged to shoot safly and the gunsmiths say its not able to be relaired so I need a replacement she dosent know I have it he gave it to me shortly before he lassed and I would love to be able to fix it for her she beleaves its been lost thanks for any help it means a great deal to both of us thank you

depending on whether the model 54 action looks like a model 70, you may be able to adapt one of these stocks to your need.

Will be very tough to get a replica stock made due to the heel drop of those older guns.  But unfinished stocks that have a custom look and actually improved lines can be inletted rather easily.  I'm pretty sure Richards will inlet the Old Classic Sporter for the M54, but you will need someone to fit, checker and finish it.  Won't be cheap!

Sherry Abraham in Oregon is one of the best and very reasonable in price!  Try a Bing search for "Sherry Abraham"+"Custom Checkering"  and I think it will pop right up.
