Good job.  How are you pegging the bead?  Trying to develope a trust in them...

Don't have to peg them. I feel they fish better with out being pegged. As they roll and tumble down stream a little more freely.

if you don't peg them the fish get the hook to deep in the throat, when you release them the wont make it.  I am talking bout wild fish which should be released.   I peg the bead bout 2 inches above the hook and you will hook the outside of the mouth.   mike w

I peg them about 2 inches as well. I hook them all over in the mouth, not just the corner. It's crazy, with all the newfangled gear out there, a simple bead is often times more effective than anything, even bait.

I totally agree.  if I am on a right bank looking upstream I hook the fish on the left side a nd vise a versa.     mike w

Ya'll are getting worked up and excited over a simple question.  I've simply noticed he posts on other sites using proper grammar and then comes on here and acts like he can't write or spell and was just looking for an explanation.  He doesn't owe me anything but I just simply asked him a question.  He's a grown man he'll answer me if he wants.  I'm sure he doesn't need others to answer for him.

Oh, now you're not going to be able to post for a week...

LOL, nobody's getting worked up Swatson.  I enjoy his pics, don't care how he says what he does.  You're not the only guy that this seems to bother, so know you're not alone.  I just don't see any reason to even care about it - other than to watch my post count go up... and then back down...  :chuckle:

It isn't a rule. It is a suggestion because in the first round of posts that I deleted there was a term you used that I felt was derogatory, which is a rule. I have no issue with you asking a question but when names start being used, that's where I have an issue.  :twocents:

I have hooked fish deep when running eggs, but never beads. I see all the theories on why to peg it, but i have always hooked them in the corner or the tip of the snout, never down the throat.

I still don't peg them.
