Its weird for me. I had a 1.5 month soak this summer. 2000+ pictures with multiple lion pics.  Cool picture. Looks burly.

I rarely notice a change in picture numbers or deer activity even when I catch a lion on camera  :dunno:

Yup, great cat pic.  Too bad he didn't stay around for a face shot.  The cats I get are either off in the distance or are house cats.

From what I've read, deer will just lay low if there's a predator close.  They tend to stay in the areas they call home and just hide tighter in cover.  I believe a cougar's territory is somewhere around 20 -25 sq. miles, so this one was just probably making a fast food run and then moving on. 

Someone down in Oregon did a study that suggested these cats may kill up to 80 deer per year each, so who knows?  Maybe you should move your cam to a place with more deer and less bones.
