Where to stay Aberdeen/twin harbors/greys harbor
« on: February 07, 2015, 08:12:13 PM »
Plan to head to the area on Saturday(next week) till Monday for some fishing and clamming and possibly crabbing. Any input on where to stay, will have a dog and baby so no tents! Reasonable but nice.  Thanks in advance

You don't want to stay in Aberdeen.  Are you planning on going to Ocean shores or Westport?  I would google each one.

Last time we clammed on the beach in twin harbors. We'd like to stay around west port

First off do not stay at the Silver Sands.  They are strong supporters of agendas that will limit hunting access to federal lands.

Never stay at this one but, have heard good things and it is one of the few that I see put out the "No Vacancy" sign on holidays and weekends.

Other than that use the tourism web site for more places.

Ocean Shores is nice. I used to stay there once a year. Usually at the Polynesian.

Thanks, I'm going to call the ocean spray tomorrow and see if they have something open. Wife just reminded me that's Valentine's Day so hopefully they do.

i remember staying at the chateau westport as a kid.  nice place, at least it was 20 years ago.  not sure about these days.

sage advice to not stay in aberdeen/hoquiam.  the "motels" out there are little more than sleazy apartments with rent by the day, infested with tweekers and prostitutes.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Westport Inn is my go to unless I'm camping.
