I really like what JAGER PRO does to control the Hog populations.
I think its more efficient than this imo.

I'm not sure I agree with your assessment. Either are effective, for sure.

I think the BoarBuster solves some of the issues that the Jager Pro has.  Of course you could also be looking at hogs that had not been hunted and trapped as hard as the ones in the Jager Pro videos.

I'd bet a similar trap setup could be used to trap k9's in this state.  Thanks for posting

The thing I like about this one is that the complete cage is off the ground, so the pigs aren't worried about an enclosure. They sure go nuts when either trap shuts.

Here is the thing, I don't think feral hogs are really a problem.  If they were, there would be lists of landowners who are looking for someone to come shoot them - take a look at pronghorn in WY for example or the management hunts in WA or MT.

Instead, what I saw when I looked was a bunch of offers to pay them to shoot a pig.  If I have to pay to shoot something, it really isn't a problem it is a source of revenue.

It's a HUGE problem in a lot of agriculture areas and actually hunting them does more harm than good in a lot of areas.  They have to be heavily trapped and aerial shooting were possible.  The hogs are so smart and breed so quickly (hmm sounds a lot like a wolf problem) hunting them only makes them smarter and harder to control.  Check out the Jager Pro video above.  Those hogs are hunted hard and it's not having any significant impact on the numbers.

It's called doing their best to make lemonade out of lemons. This year, agricultural damage due to hogs in TX alone is predicted to be $55M - just one state. Nationwide, we're looking at $1.5B. Believe it; feral hogs are really a problem.

sorry but I have to agree with Stein here.Yeah they say 55mill. in damage but is it really? The farmers are making big money on this deal thats for sure.GOV. SUBSIDIES, TV series,Hunting,Guides, meat, lodging, taxes,The list is endless. If they really wanted to get rid of the problem they could. It doesnt matter what the animal is if over hunted its gone,The hog just needs to be hunted a little more than it is for less money and its gone.A farmer with a problem:A)gets paid from Uncle Sam for damage B)Rents out hunting lodge for hunters C)Charges so much per hog harvested D)Charges to have the hog processed. E)Growing seasons over replant crops call Uncle Sam whine some get whole thing started all over again. Some of these people are making money hand over fist,All while trying to get the legislature in their states to limit other ways of fighting the hog population. If a real problem existed and they put out a free for all it would be done as fast as it was here in WA. lol.
You must first be honest with yourself,Until then your just lying to everyone.
