Loki, pain control has been the biggest issue. She is still at the clinic because of it. I hope to have her home tonight. I bought a Taj Mahal of a crate for her.

Sorry to hear about your pup.  My girlfriend and I went through 6 months of rehab with my 6 year old female lab with back to back TPLO surgeries.  It was hard with a 6 year old active lab so I can only imagine what it is and will be like for a young, active puppy that has absolutely no understanding of what is going on and whey she can't just run and play like she wants to.  Good for you for taking care of her though.  One thing about it, they are resiliant, tougher than most people, and bounce back quicker.  Keep her away from the incision and watch for infection and she'll be back to her old self in a few months.

Sweet little Liberty Bell is home. She can't walk without a sling assistant to support her weight. While these surgeries are not cheap I am so very greatful to Dr. Ty Johnson and the team at Cascade Veterinary Clinic for the care they provided her.

How's the pup doing.  I hope she is on the road to recovery.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

Update:
Bell had the surgical pins removed the other day. Her Xrays look very promising and she is getting around well. The surgical Vet was Dr Johnson at Cascade Veterinary Clinic in Wenatchee.  He did an amazing job.
Being crated for six weeks and still not really being allowed to fully be a high energy pup has to taken a toll. She chews and digs out of frustration I'd assume. Which she never did before. (My poor wife) one more week and she should be 100% in the clear.  All in the cost was just south of $3600.00
I guess I'm advocating pet insurance. I sure would have liked to have it.
I hope to have some good hunting stories for 2015.

Infections required drain tubes and 2 additional weeks recovery. And the cone of shame. She's a lamp shade.

Oh, Ow.  Sorry to hear about the setback.  Hopefully she can be up and around and work on getting her strength back as she finishes healing up.
