Bobcat Calling
« on: December 29, 2008, 04:46:25 PM »
I'm new here and would like to know what a bobcat calling sequence should be like. What I mean is what sounds to use and how long for each one and stuff like that. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Aaron. Also I did search the forum and I didn't find what I was looking for.

I use cottontail only on bobs..hand calls.watch your movement bobs hunt with their eyes.On the wet side if its thick, sometime they will jump up on a stump and look for ya.Its real easy to screw up a hide,I head shoot only,,I start out easy on the call and will ramp up alittle not much.usally about 45 min call time they can real dilly dally.

I'm interested in this too.  Do you actually call steadily for 45 minutes or so?  If so, I assume you vary the sequence, tone, and volume too?  Thanks for the info.

Rasbo has a good sequence. As constant as you can, they're easily distracted. Vary the sounds too, change them if you can. Keep them interested.
