Well folks sh*t happens.  We would probably be laughing at anyone who got their jeep stuck on a wintering range. Very funny to humiliate someone. That being said, has anyone called him and asked for a story? It shouldn't be too hard to drive a jeep.

Anyone know if he is a member on the forum?
Well I don't know if you are from Naches but Naches just beat the Chelan boys basketball and are on to state in Yakima.

Point is Naches, he was ripping up wintering ground and should have never left the road or two track. IMO the jeep should be impounded and sold for revenue for habitat restoration. :twocents:

They do that quite often here as well. Maybe we should start humiliating the ones who do it down here too.

Cute kid!  Can't help but smile at that picture

I think you have a hunter in the making there.  On top of that she is learning ethics.

Thank you for teaching her environmental ethics.  .

I agree!  She is already shaping up well. I gave her the option to wait in the truck with the iPhone or hike down with me. You see what she chose, but by the end I think she wished she had stayed at the truck :chuckle:  when we were driving up we came out on top and she said it would be a great place for a house, no one around to make noise or complain about her shooting her .22 whenever she wanted. She thought it was too far from stores for mommy though :)

It wouldn't take more than a little push to get it down.

On top of fines it will probably run him ~$4000 or more to get a helicopter to get it down. A B3-Astar might lift it but it would be close. They were running ~$1100 an hour last I knew and it would probably be at least 3 hours work all said and done unless there is something closer than Spokane or the west side.

Yup, a future hunting partner you got.

Jackelope, is your picture the same jeep?  I can't see it very well, but your picture looks like a yellow jeep.  Just wondering if there are two idiots out there?

I am pretty liberal in what I interpret a road and this failed my interpretation. It was an old hand dug fire line as best I could tell.  I would have tried turning around after less than 100yds but not sure if it was even possible then. That ridge goes from nice to OK to iffy to bad to real bad to real hosed. He actually made it past real hosed before trying to turn around. Looked like he tried to turn around at least once before he actually was able to. There were parts of this where he must have been barely controlled sliding. There were parts where it was using all fours just to climb back up.

With a little creative rigging he may be able to get it up far enough to drop over to the north and head down the gully to the orchard below. Does not look any worse than what he already went through.

I thought about calling him and asking WTF?  Not my style though. If anyone does make sure you share the story and find out how long it took to unstick his arse from the seat. Couldn't tell if there was a stain on it or not through the window.

Just above Ribbon Cliff Orchards north of Entiat. If you are familiar with Crum Canyon road it is on the same ridge as the lookout swing and new weather station. Nearest road is 97a.

 :yeah:

I agree with that. And the same for the idiot horn hunters who cut bike trails up and down every ridge and gully.

That is where I thought it was.  I know the orchard and recognized that part of the Columbia.  Matter of fact I hiked it two weeks ago.  What a dummy......   :bash: :bash:

As well as the ones riding their snowmobiles up, down and through the sage and bitterbrush, ripping it up and thinking nothing of it.

All I can say is WOW.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Looks like a good tire jack and squat workout you could roll it to the river road pretty easy, I would've helped him! Lol

My thoughts exactly! If I were there I'd push that bumper up in the right lesson learning direction.....
