Kettle River Campground on Lake Roosevelt.  At least they weren't smart enough to head down stream when the water went down.

Looks like a walleye in there too... you say this is a pool that dried up and left them stranded?

interesting? They drop the water every spring so the old flats come up High and dry. They will drop the water to where you maybe able to see the current rush from Kettle Falls.

cousin fishes some place up there and tells me he has some monsters following his baits all the time.

Oh ya and there is no limit on them if you chose to harass them.

I've had good luck with 6 inch long silver kwickfish,  pulled super slow on the top so it just tick back and forth.  I'll give it a jerk once in awhile so it'll try to dive then let it bob back to the top then slowly tick it back and forth.

pike slam it hard

Dale it is not good at all.  I informed our fish bio here in Colville about it.  He said he will look into it..... :bash:

Not much the bio's can do about it,  they've known for years about this.

KF just realize that they told us due to the water flucations of Roosevelt they will have a hard time spawning in the river. So with what they gill net out of the Pend Orielle these must have washed over the dam.

I bet they will spawn in the Kettle and Spokane just like the walleyes do! :dunno:

They will spawn there, and the colville too.   Once they get in there, they are harder to get rid of than smallmouth bass.

I think I had heard from the state the Northerns wouldn't re-populate in Roosevelt due to the draw downs and there would be no weed beds for them to establish in the spring.  I know they would not have given me bad info.
Besides they are always honest about the other wolves we have!! There would be no reason to fib about water wolves either.  :dunno:
