Trying a different tactic this morning and running ridges to see some new country.

Also, may have identified the main culprit yesterday. When I ranged the bear, I think it got the trees behind him, adding about forty-fifty yards, which is anywhere from 5-8 inch difference....

Oh well.

I've seen four bucks, 6 does and a cow this morning. It's about that time though!

Also, no issues solo, I fell right asleep and slept pretty good since Scott wasn't there sawing logs... :)

 :tup: I think my standards have dropped since opening day. I will probably take the first legal bear I see next trip over. gotta do our part to help the deer fawns and elk calves this year.

My boys tag will go on the first legal one he can get to. My tag I'm looking for cinnamon or blonde if anything. Not like I need 2 bears in the freezer and I have a black one on the wall already.

I'm just waiting for Silk to stop firing warning shots, get serious and post up a grip-n-grin with yogi for us.
