Ridgefield draw odds
« on: December 30, 2008, 09:28:35 PM »
Does anyone have a general guess what your odds are to draw a date for the ridgefield refuge. This is my first year of waterfowling in washington and putting in for the draws. So far this year all I did was donate my money to the refuge, I put in for the max days for all three periods and didn't get one draw is this the normal thing?

I have been drawn 1 time, each of the last years.
I have seen the same people drawn multiple times repeatedly in the last 3 years.
I get the feeling, if you belong to Washington Waterfowlers, you would be on the short list for draws.

First year also, I have had two draws this year but didn't get one for January. I do know that those members with Wash Waterfowlers who we see at the top blinds more often than not, pool their draws and share blinds with each other. So I don't think there is any wrongdoing there. I have a lotto ticket in my pocket, maybe I'll have better odds with that....scott

They still get more draws than others. Me thinks something is not kosher.

That is a good idea.  Why don't a bunch of us pool our draws?   So that we can hunt in the better blinds.  Anyone interested?

I too would be interested. BTW, Tuesdays hunt was pretty poor with the numbers. I believe the Hotline said 52 hunters, 12 ducks and 9 geese or something like that. I was fortunate to have blind 15 and got 2 geese and a teal. How did you guy's fare???...scott

I was drawn last in the lottery for blind 2.  I passed and went home.

So who ever is in...   We all would put in for defined dates and blinds.  The question would be how many in a pool?
