ANOTHER Multiseason question!
« on: April 02, 2015, 06:46:02 PM »
So let's say I draw a multi season tag for elk. Can I then put in special hunt apps in all three seasons? And if so and I'm drawn for one in each season ( praying to hunting Gods ) I could essential harvest three different elk with three diff weapons?

You can apply for special permits for any weapon or side of the state.  You only get one tag, and therefore one elk.

You can only get drawn once for each category, quality bull you can draw one of your 2 choices, bull elk one of your 4 choices and cow one of your 4 choices.  You have a chance of drawing all 3 BUT like said above, you only can kill one elk.  You can have all three permits in your hand but only one elk can be killed.  Sorry to repeat, just want it to be as clear as possible.

The best part is you get to apply for the east side tags and when you don't draw your not stuck with the crappy spike only tag for the rest of the year.  It allows you to hunt statewide with all weapons, and if we all could kill 3 elk, the population could get hammered.  Besides, what would you do with 3 elk.

There are regs? I didn't know that. Where can I find them? Do they tell where the elk are?
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

Yes, they do tell you where the elk are. If you look in the back of the pamphlet, you'll see descriptions of "Elk Areas." Those are the areas where elk live. No need to scout or hunt anywhere else!

Most people don't know what to do with the one elk they harvest.

And if you feel the need to kill 3 elk in a year it is all about the kill. And absolutely nothing else.

Brought our boned out elk to butcher boys one year and these guys come in with an elk with dirt and hair all over it., think they really cared about the meat?
