Bone - - Thanks for sharing all the photos.  Were the photos with the FZ18 shot at 18x or 18x + digital?  Thanks

THey were shot at 72.  I had them on a tripod and did it on teh timer so there was no vibration.   The deer was about 800 yards out.

I'm sure he beats 30, not even a doubt.  Just wonder by how much.   Yeah, that does seem cold.

I would guess he's gonna break 30" as well, but not by a bunch I wouldn't say.  One helluva buck no doubt, hope you get a chance to run an arrow through him Bone and tell us just how much he beats 30".
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

My first impression was 31"... I had to give him 22 on the ears...they are laid out nicely in some of those pics. His bones are jutting out about 4-5 inches on each side...EASY... so....31-32... Maybe more??

Nice one doug..I am real sorry for your loss though... better get her in the mail... right in prime season too... $&@#%#&#

You really think 190 or close to it Bone? I was thinking more along the lines of 180. Keep tabs on him and grab them sheds! Thats a dandy buck!

I think he is probably short Charlie of 190.  The one "weak" fork probably nets him out of being 190.  He's close enough though gross to give him the designation in my book.  I probably won't get his sheds. I am not agressive enough at pushing the deer.  Some yahoo will be out pouncing around in hip deep snow trying to sift through it to find it this next week I am sure.

Something about a pure typical 4 point though that does have allure.  If I'd of had that tag I wouldn't have passed on this deer.  It also wouldn't have been in a subdivision.  Aesthetics mean alot to me. and before someone jumps on my arse, I am not putting his buck down one cent.
