Suggestions on how to go about mounting sheds(antlers)
« on: April 22, 2015, 10:42:32 PM »
I have quite a few sets of deer and elk antlers laying around the house and shed that I want to start mounting. Where do you all order replica skulls with pedicles from and what kind of stain do you use to bring color back into the sheds? Also for elk, how do you know which size of skull to order? Thanks.

:yeah: used a few for deer sheds I've found. Haven't used any of the elk skulls yet.  As for the color depends on the antler. If its chalky I don't mess with trying yo color them. If there a yearish or so old I've had great luck with WAM ( wild antler magic ).
