West side turkey hunts...
« on: April 23, 2015, 09:27:31 AM »
I am curious, is there in Western turkey areas? I live North of Seattle and love to turkey hunt. Normally i'd go where I grew up in Deer Park area but would like to see something new. Anyone know if it's around here?

I wish it were true. According to the 2014 harvest report there was only 1 reported turkey killed in area P40 northwest. At least P50 southwest had 25. Still that's not much. I'd like to try it myself out here if it was any good.  :dunno:

Seen Turks on the on ramp westbound at exit 38 and 27 two winters ago. There was snow one the ground and freezing. Also heard a few talking behind the house. Rattlesnake ridge is above I 90 so I would check the hill side out. Also heard them up the middle fork Snoqualimie river 30 yrs ago. Seen some between I 90 and Snoqualimie next to the road 2 yrs ago. Hope this helps
