Elk drawing date for Hancock??
« on: April 24, 2015, 12:47:58 AM »
Does anyone know when the draw dates are for the permits for Hancock timberlands?

Wdfw has nothing to do with the Hancock pass bull hunt. Generally their website has a date or a general time frame for when the results will be posted. Last year it wasn't until after they had sold out. So this year is probably similar.

They drew before they sold out last year. Enough guys bitched over the years that they draw it before the wdfw permit deadline . Should be before may 20

My supposition is that with 249 passes still remaining the draw won't be until sometime in May.

Yep, checked their site up and down and could not find any info on the draw date. I thought I would see if anyone here knew before I pestered Claudia in the office.

Claudia will pull your name from the drawing if you call and ask her about the date!!!! :chuckle: But seriously, she gets extremely annoyed when we call her about that subject, you can only imagine how many guys call her.                             If you want to help speed up the drawing, I will take donations to help me buy a pass???? I'm not getting one this year because the deer season's have just been getting worse the past few years.  But, I will help, just send me some donations to go toward the 375.00 pass!!!!

Like I said , they will draw it before the apps are due. Just like they have the last few years. This came up when Washington moved the deadline earlier in the year a few years ago. Hancock  used to draw by the end of June (if I remember right ) regaurdless of if they sold out or not. There was a time they didn't always and you could dang near buy a pass anytime in the year. ( oh I long for the days the internet didn't ruin everything) but when wdfw moved up the deadline so did hancock, probably from about 1200 guys calling Claudia bugging the whiz out of her . So be patient they'll get um drawn. Then when you don't get that tag you can apply for all the other tags you won't draw and you can be happy again
