I have hunted with a knight Buck Horn for 6 years. Never a problem.

The quality of the Knight is great, but when they got to convert it from 209 to Western they get to picky and expect everything to fit and work perfectly - but in some cases the BP is to short and the hammer can not reach the caps correctly. It really is an easy fix it that happens.  Knight is SUPPOSE to test fire caps on all Western Rifles before shipping - and I think they really try to but I am not sure it is happening.

In any case Knight will fix it and if you get one of those guns - it can be made to shoot safely right away while you wait for parts from Knight.

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!

My disc extreme wouldnt pop caps from the factory. I had to send the bolt amd breech plug in. They filed on the bolt housing a bit and sent it bqck in working order. Plus they included a box of bullets! Took 5 weeks but they got it.
Now it shoots great!

This is my Western Edition U-Lite - of course you can get the DISC Extreme Western also..

You can see the scope bases are mounted and a NECG Peep Sight is installed now... but in the regular rifle season I convert the rifle back to a modern inline and use it as regular rifle.
