Got some good hiking in this weekend and it paid off! Also check out the amount of bear shat.

Yeah it's definitely bear. There were more piles scattered around the area, he or she has defintely been hanging around there lately. I've never seen that many piles in one spot though! I need to set up a trail cam.

Maybe I am just a bad judge with the picture. However, that shows me I need to rethink my core area as far as bear goes, I may have more activity there then I thought haha.

Yeah might just be the way it looks in the picture, but those are big marshmallow sized turds. quite a bit larger than any elks chit.

Yea, no biggie, its hard to judge size without a scale to judge against. If I would have looked at it compared to the leaves of that oregon grape by them then I would like to think that I would have noticed at the time that those turds are bigger than the pellets of elk. haha
