Well we made probably our last set of the season Friday night. With hunting starting and Salmon's coming up will be busy with those activities. We got about 30 good eaters and one very stretched to 7".

Looks like we just got the finger.  :chuckle:

Nice catch HUNTINCOUPLE!

I found a pic online of the sticker I saw this morning:

Are there any regs for crawfish gear beyond using only 5 pots. Does it matter what color buoy I use or how big the pot is? Sorry rookie questions but would like to give this a shot this year.

Yes the regs for crawfish are posted in the Washington fishing pamphlet.

I have got to get me some traps. I made one one year, but when i went to check it, it was moved and empty. Haven't tried since. I don't know if it was the current, the trap or what. What bait were you using ?

I went to the store and bought a hog ring kit and a roll of 1/2" metal mesh. My trap was made in 30 mins and works well. The trap matters less than the bait and location.

Probably my last trip of the season yesterday- decided to do a crayfish / grouse combo day.  Dropped my traps and then started looking for grouse. The birds weren't cooperating, but when I pulled the traps, the crayfish definitely were! Best trap had 43, worst 8. In total, I had 135 mudbugs. No hogs, but they were all a good size. Between the crayfish haul and the beautiful weather, it wasn't a bad day at all.
