First steelie luck in a couple years.
« on: June 23, 2015, 07:48:12 PM »
I had been so busy the last couple years I have hardly got out for summer steelhead. only did once last year in the boat and the motor died before I could start fishing. I went out 5 or 6 times at the beginning of the month and lost one with no other luck at all. Then I got busy for a week or two, went back this morning and finally broke my good run of bad luck on these two chromers. One was at 4:45 am the other at 5:50. 7.5 lbs and the other was just a tenth under 10 lbs.

They don't get any brighter than that. Early summer runs are my favorite fish to eat.
