Back in 2013 I got a Knight Bighorn but I was never able to get the rifle to shoot groups consistently enough to take it hunting, at 100 yards the 1st shot will hit bullseye but the rest will go either high left or right 4 to 10 inches...in any case, forward to 4 monts ago.
I traded some ammo for a White M97 whitetail hunter with a cracked laminated stock, gunsmith was able to fix it cheap.
It had a little basic Williams peepsight but when I started shooting the rifle I had the sight as far up as I could go and I was still shooting low at 25 yards, instead of changing the front sight I ended up ordering a Lyman SMET sight. I was shooting Barnes 290 T-EZ over 100gr. T7 3F's with pretty good results at 50 yards so far then I made the big move.....fast forward to now.
I am now in Idaho and unable to use Sabots, I have no experience with Conicals, I have done some research and I will order some No Excuses conicals. Any advise from you more knowledgable shooters?? Thanks.

Order the 485great bullets and 95 grains of triple 7 double ffg should put you right in the ball game.

Been shooting whites for over twenty years and the guy that introduced me to them even longer than that.  We use goex triple FFF at around 90 to 95 grains with a 485 no excuses slug, I know goex is really dirty but have never had an ounce of trouble and can hit bowling pins at a 100 yds with consistency.
