Look at my peaches bull over in the peaches bull thread and tell me if you would pass that one up, He's hard pressed to make 280 . But after 15 years of applying my finger was real itchy..

No question. That bull would NOT be a shooter for a quality tag holder in Clockum. Maybe in peaches where there are well over 100 bull tags a year but not in one of the hardest to draw areas in the state. Please don't shoot anything under 340. If you need help, I'll go with you. BUT I get to hold the arrows/bullets until we both agree on the bull.

To each his own. Most people cannot pass a near 300 bull. That group may include me.  Its all about the hunt, the rut is going to get crazy, will we have the willpower to pass? That remains to be seen.

Just enjoy the hunt and be proud of whatever bull you take..
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...

100% agree. Score is just a number and its all about the experience. I shot a buck last year in Montana that wasn't the stud I was after but after watching him one evening, putting him to bed, relocating him the next day and stalking from over a mile away to under 35 yards, I didn't care how big he was because the stalk and pursuit was memorable. Just take in every second and enjoy the experience that most of us envy. If a big bull hits the ground then that is just icing on the cake.  :twocents:

But it is one of the best tags and one of the hardest to draw. And I can't wait for September!  I'm going to try and hold out for a 340 size bull. But hunting is still hunting no guarantee ' on Any tag. I'm going to hunt my but off. I'm a true be leaver in patience pays off. And I'll be gone the entire early hunt so a big six better not temp me near a rd I can drive. He'll be coming home in the back of the truck

:chuckle: sounds like Coach :chuckle: put hundreds of miles on who knows how many boots and ends up with a nice bull right next to the road. :chuckle:
