I was suppose to have a player do a pitching workout this morning but she cancelled so I had an open hour in my schedule and really needed no better excuse to go shoot.
I did take the Supper DISC this morning (1-20 twist). All I really wanted to do was set up a 100 yard target and punch 3 holes and have the holes show no yawing. I got there and got set up and ended up taking 4 shots with the 215's. Shot two ad made a scope change and shot to more. I really hate changing my scope in this heat because I know once this hot weather leaves and I go back to normal fall weather all thing will return to normal. A couple of guys on the forums have mentioned shooting a ML leads to problems and I firmly believe it unless you are shooting in these temps all the time. One solution is to go sabotless then heat become a little of a problem.
After the first four I still had time so I went to the 40x230 gr. Lehigh/Bloodline and then I pushed my time line a bit and thought what the heck shoot 3 of the 40x200 gr. Lehigh/Bloodlines. In this shot #3 was all me and a very very hot barrel. I was a little over my time limit but I got more in than I planned. Accuracy??? it was a thought but not what I really trying to get done. Speed was an essence so no cooling time just shooting
The load remained the same as the past tests 110 grains of T7-2f. all indications are that there was not any yawing - although I did notice a little oddity - it appears the 40x215 holes are a little bigger and not as clean as the Bloodline holes. My thought that might be due to the different noses on the bullets. The bloodlines being sharper and probably cut cleaner. Sorry for all the chicken scratching on the target but I was keeping track on a target at the truck then I was trying to transfer the information to the shot target.
