Wenatchee shooting options
« on: July 15, 2015, 08:01:36 PM »
Moved to wenatchee between hunting seasons and not able to get back to the family ranch often enough to get comfortable trigger time regularly, so looking for a place close to wenatchee for high powered rifles.  I know I can head in the hills on the weekends but would like a place I can head to after work.  Looking at NCW range (?) by the super oval, any experiences? Need to fireform quite a few rounds and finalize some load data. Open to suggestions or if anyone in the area wants to do some shooting, thanks in advance!

Number two canyon or NCW gun club on fancher heights are the two I know about.

I personally belong to and like the gun range up on Fancher.  The only crappy part is their membership year runs sept. to sept. so if you bought a membership now you would pay full price for 3 months.  They have pistol, shotgun and rifle ranges.  All in all it is a pretty nice range.  Middle of the week the range is dead which is awesome.

Built my own portable bench and have not shot at a range in years. Unless I am shooting a competition, league, trap, or skeet, I wouldn't pay to shoot at a range. I have found a couple prime spots to shoot out past 1000 yds and there is nothing to take more of my already short time. Just my .02

crabcreekhunter,  North Central Washington Gun Club up on Fancher heights has 2- 100 yard rifle ranges, 2-300 yard rifle ranges, 1-600 yard rifle range with steel  at 610 and 700 yards ( once the fire danger subsides), 4- pistol/ carbine ranges, a cowboy town with several steel targets, a trap field and an out door archery range to 60 yards.
Membership is from 9-1 to 8-31. We are working on setting up electronic membership that will allow 365 days from date of purchase, but that's a ways out.
I'm the club's president so feel free to PM me with questions.
Jim
